Why should I join the NZPHGA? If you're serious about guiding hunters as a full-time or in-season profession and want to be seen as a level above part-time amateur guides; or you are or plan on running a professional outfitting business, then you should definitely consider joining the NZPHGA. What are the advantages of NZPHGA membership? There are a number of advantages to being an NZPHGA member that involve training, advocacy, marketing your business and protection of your rights and industry. For more detail, see the About page. Who can join the NZPHGA? Membership of the NZPHGA is open to any New Zealand citizen or permanent resident over 18 years of age, provided they meet the requisite criteria concerning experience and qualifications. To see if you qualify, please take a look at Application for Membership. How do I become a member of the NZPHGA? The first step is to fill out our Application for Membership and ensure you meet the prerequisite criteria. Once submitted, the NZPHGA Executive will review your Application and get back to you as soon as possible with the next steps. If my application is accepted, what happens next? Upon payment of your subscription, you'll become a provisional member of the NZPHGA pending your completion of, and a pass achieved on the Professional Hunter Academy, after which you'll become a fully-qualified NZPHGA guide member. |
